Why I love this Winter Hares wooden jigsaw puzzle...

I fell in love with this beautiful artwork from Lucy Grossmith as soon as I saw it, but I didn't think it would work as a 1000 or 500 piece jigsaw puzzle, because while the artwork was stunning as always, I didn't think there was enough colour variation to make a satisfying large jigsaw.

Offering it as a high quality 300 piece wooden jigsaw with whimsy shapes that reflect the puzzle image seemed like the perfect answer. I love the finished result, including the beautiful whimsy shapes, although it took a few attempts to get a hare shape I liked and I had to play with the placement of these pieces to really show them off.

Made in limited quantities, you need to be quick if you want one, there's always a wait list when they come back into stock, but all in all, I think this is a really special heirloom wooden jigsaw puzzle to treasure.
